• Get clarity on hidden issues that affect project performance
• Distinguish the real issues from the ‘noise’
• Determine the value in ambiguous or contradictory reports
Helmsman has brought together years of research to develop a game-changing
complexity Diagnostic that gives Project Sponsors, Managers and PMOs an
objective, detailed understanding of what each project needs to be successful.
Developed over nine years of detailed research by the Helmsman Institute, the
Project Performance Diagnostic helps:
• Get clarity on hidden issues that affect project performance
• Distinguish the real issues from the ‘noise’
• Determine the value in ambiguous or contradictory reports
• Ensure the right resources and sponsorship are in place
• Know when to intervene and how to best support the Project Team
Because the output is based on fact, not opinion, you can quickly cut through the politics and perspectives and define what is needed to drive success.
The Diagnostic was developed through formal research by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) including a $1.2 million industry and ARC Federal Government grant.
Depending on your project’s unique Complexity Profile, the Diagnostic identifies whether your organisational capabilities and project controls are sufficient to ensure success.
Assessing 47 complexity factors and 172 project controls, up to 300,000 variables are analysed for each project reviewed; each new project strengthens the correlation algorithm and contributes to the quality and accuracy of analysis.
The Helmsman Project Performance Diagnostic has been used to evaluate some of the largest and most complex projects in Australia across diverse sectors:
• Financial Services
• Telecommunications
• Consumer Products
• Mining & Energy
• Engineering
• Infrastructure
• Defence
